As you likely know, Thursday morning is date morning for Justin and I. Date mornings usually consist of coffee from Joanie’s and then a trip to Goodwill. This day, though, I wanted a pumpkin spice latte and Joanie’s does not make those. So we decided to change it up and go to Starbucks. It was kind of a bummer because going to Starbucks means a shorter walk. I really like to walk and I was getting denied because of this blasted pumpkin spice latte craving.
As luck would have it, there were no available tables so we opted to walk around the neighborhoods surrounding Starbucks. It was a lovely morning so why not. As we were walking Justin looked ahead and saw a mountain, then jokingly wondered out loud where the path was to get up and over that particular mountain. I said, lets find it! With our Starbucks in hand we begun our hike. We did find a path and it was nice so we decided to just keep going.
The path was getting steeper but we were both still having fun and then we happened upon this awesome view! How cute is my little town?! We’re probably about halfway up when we took this picture and we decided to keep going.
What you should know now is that we have friend who lives just on the other side of this mountain. Since we were so far up we deicded why not go the whole way. Which I almost instantly regretted because our path pretty much disappeared and got super steep. Oh well, you can’t turn back when you are SO close!
We did eventually make it to our friends house which was really cool because who walks over a mountain to come for a visit? Us, that’s who! The trip back down the mountain took no time at all. We ran a bunch of they way. Running downhill is much more fun anyway.
We made it down with enough time to head to Goodwill and finish our date properly. That mountain you see in the background is the one we just climbed. Pretty cool.
We did get our walk in and it was awesome, and about 4 times longer than it would have been 🙂
