I am obviously a huge fan of Carhartt and the toughness that they embody in their products. I wear a classic duck jacket when I’m out working on the trailer but found myself needing something more, as I was always cold as the wind picked up and temperatures dropped. Luckily for me, Carhartt has everything and more. The Brookville Jacket is perfect to layer under my tough classic or wear for work during the “not so dirty days.” Those days don’t happen very often and I’ve found myself wearing this jacket to dinner and around town.
This is one of the many things I’ve gotten from Carhartt where I’ve told myself I’d keep it as my “nice” jacket but then end up loving it so much that I wear it for everything, everywhere and it gets too dirty to be my “nice” jacket. Some unique but simple features of the Brookville include a tapered drop to the back at the bottom of the jacket, so as to have a little bit more coverage where most people need it, drawstrings in that same area, and a good sized hood.
This is a unique piece by Carhartt. It is 100% nylon with mid-weight insulation and Rain Defender. It will keep you dry and warm. This is exactly the kind of jacket people need for their Carhartt quiver. The price point ($100.00) is perfect for those that need an insulated piece but don’t have hundreds to spend. With the addition of Rain-Defender, the insulation will not get wet and stay wet, like so many other insulated pieces.
The Brookville jacket has a total of six pockets (two chest, two hand, and two inside) so you’ll definitely have room for your wallet, snack, cellphone, and anything else that you stick in your pocket. Once again, Carhartt has gone above and beyond by producing exactly what I need. So very functional and so very stylish.
