The Pearl Izumi Synchro Fuel II Trail Runners are a great, lightweight but full support shoe. After wearing them around the neighborhood for a bit, I put only five miles on the trail in them before fast packing 26 miles round trip on Pikes Peak.
Starting from 6,500′, topping out at 14,110′ and back, 26 miles is a long day to break in a pair of shoes. These Pearl Izumi shoes performed flawlessly.
