It’s glove review week from Ski Cooper near Leadville, CO and I’m bringing you the best. At the end of this series I’ll bring all the gloves together into one review to tell you which I like best and why.
It’s only 5 degrees fahrenheit when I hit the slopes so I start with the warmest first. By Mountain Hardwear, this is the Boldog glove.
At $175, this is the most expensive glove in the test, but also the warmest while offering little bulk and great dexterity. Also great for ice climbing. If you’re looking for one all-around glove, this is it.
Using OutDry, the Boldog Glove is waterproof and windproof. Mountain Hardwear uses water-resistant goatskin leather in the fingers and palm with additional pigsuede reinforcements on the fingers and thumb. These gloves will handle the abuse.
Perhaps the best feature, you can put a glove on and take it offer with a glove on your other hand. No teeth needed.
