It’s rare that I find a jacket(s) that are so comfortable and so good looking that I would buy a different color for each day of the week. Between the Gamble Jacket and Casino Jacket by Powder Room, I would be set for the season with kick ass jackets.
Style points are off the charts for these jackets but even more importantly, both are so extremely comfortable. The Gamble jacket fits like a dream and is long enough that I don’t worry about snow or wind reaching my core. With 20,000 mm waterproofing and 10,000 g breathability, this jacket is great for chillier days at the resort. I’m shocked also at how well this jacket withstands the wind.
In addition to the cuffs that are large and stretchy enough to fit over my gloves, Powder Room thoughtfully made a hide-away zipper for the snowskirt. I don’t usually use a gnar skirt (although I have started to break the habit of not using one) and so it is to my full advantage that it zips nicely into the jacket. I don’t have to remove it and lose it and it doesn’t hang in my way.
The appropriately placed insulation is made up of Outlast technology which stores and releases heat when it’s needed. Between this and the flow-through venting system, you are ready to regulate your temperature so you’re comfortable at all times. The fully sealed seams and waterproofing assures that even on the deepest of powder days you’ll stay dry.
As you can probably gather from my reviews, I’m totally psyched on Powder Room. The fit is amazing, the style is unique and edgy, and they’ve managed to combine all of those important things with functionality and durability. I can’t wait to see what they have for next year.
