Corbeaux is a small clothing company based in Aspen, CO and just the kind of company I like to highlight, as long as their gear stands up to the abuse I put it through and the requirements I’m looking for. The Sopris Long Sleeve is one such piece of gear.
A few months ago Corbeaux sent me the Sopris along with a few other pieces and I immediately put them to work. As the weather began to cool it because my baselayer and sometimes my sole layer for trail running. Now that that weather has cooled down and I’ve traded running shoes for touring skis, the Sopris is nearly always my first layer. On top of that I almost always wear a midlayer and shell.
One thing I didn’t know I wanted was a watch window on the left sleeve for my Garmin Fenix 5 to show through. The window is just the right size for the watch to easily fit and the sleeve doesn’t feel like it’s bound up. I don’t even know it’s there after putting it on.
The Sopris is plenty long to keep drafts and snow from going down my pants and the shirt is cut for an athletic fit: not too tight and not baggy. It’s lightweight and an easy choice when I’m looking for a first layer.
Photo compliments of Corbeaux.
